Prologue
“Let’s get toasted!” The voice screams as drumsticks pound relentlessly against the drums, each strike generating a divine rhythm and titanic bolts of lightning.
Chapter 2
Chapter 1
A sense of purity and tranquility floods Darta’s mind, washing away everything else until these are the only emotions left in his mortal body.
The voice stops, noticing the cries of a small girl. “Well, just like my sister likes to say, no witnesses.”
In the blink of an eye, a shadow lunges at the deer, its grotesque and unnatural form grabbing the King of Forest.
As they both fall, the roles shift, and the once-mighty hunter becomes the prey.
Chapter 3
A morning meant for serenity most, to remain in peace with all the senses, but not for three young boys of different parents.
“That does not matter now. If we do not make it back to the village soon, not even an Incarnation could withstand our mothers’ wrath.”
“Let’s get toasted!” Raijin roars, before he begins pounding the drums, sending waves of lightning into the air.
Chapter 4
Chapter 5
“A will that stands firm against even his father’s will. The spirit to hold the power of the world without being consumed by it.”
“My eyes lied to me. So, if even they can lie… everything else can, much more and deathly.”
“It is easy to care for the lights of those we love, but real strength lies in guiding and protecting those beyond your circle.”
Darta begins his quest to uncover the truth of his world in the mysterious land of Niuva.
Chapter 6
Chapter 7
Compared to the creature, Darta is a small fly in the mouth of a massive shark.
“Be not afraid, brother,” Eva says with a twisted smile, her voice now a low hum, echoing through the ship’s chamber. “Be happy with us.”
“Am I living in a memory from the past, or a dream that never happened?”
“Because it’s real, Eva. No dream, no illusion can ever compare to this. Open your heart and enjoy it.”
Chapter 8
He knows this is something far worse and he prefers the suffocating cold of the ocean’s embrace to the madness above.
Chapter 9
Darta’s pale hair starts to rise as small sparks of electricity crackle through the strands. “Let us light things up, Eva.”
Chapter 10
“We protect our peace,” Kalamary interrupts. “That’s all that matters.”
Chapter 11
“Feels like I’m fighting against the wind,” Elizabeth murmurs. “No matter how hard I try, deep down, I know I can’t win.”
Chapter 12
Her instincts tell her to save him but the impulse dissolves before it can take hold.
Chapter 14
I have a full prison that is more than willing to kill you or anyone, for their freedom. Some will even do it just for the pure desire of taking your life!”
Chapter 16
“There are many languages in the world, but some only understand force.”
Chapter 13
“There are fifty-three Elites in Niuva. Over a thousand Elites in our history. What makes you think will be special, Serekio?”
Chapter 15
With you, fighting the Whore Born in Babylon, I present: the Gigolo Molded in Babylon, Darta!”
Chapter 17
Silent as the moon, unwavering as the sun, the source of the villagers’ panic stands before them in stark relief.
Chapter 18
“He has a survival instinct. If he wants to survive, that means he can be killed.”
A voice slips into his mind with a tone that invites you to dance under the rain.
Chapter 19
“Unless, of course, you mean Death herself. In which case, my friend, do as I do and get her drunk.”
Chapter 20
Only Soluna and Eva seem to catch the tension in him. “That bastard’s still alive,” he mutters.
Chapter 21
“Besides, I like it when bites leave a mark.”

Chapter 22
Chapter 23
I hug him tighter, remembering the monster I could have become, endlessly consuming souls without care or compassion just to fill a void.
Chapter 24
“I want... I want to live.”
f
Chapter 25
Her entire body trembles as she clings to him, whispering through choking sobs, “He’s coming…”
"I’ll buy you that time. Right now, everything rests on the two of you.”
Chapter 26
Chapter 27
“Let Ah Puch purify your soul.” His arms lift, the Kaminaras scattering to the clouds like stars ready to rain down. “Let Kane welcome you to his garden of peace.”
Her colors are as natural as those gifted by nature, with her hair falling in a poisonous purple waves like belladonna, her eyes a hue of red wild begonia and her lips a striking blue, like a rare salvia flower.
Chapter 28
Epilogue
“This is the Circle of Lies, where all falsehoods are left outside, and only the truth may enter.”
Who am I? After everything that’s happened, is there anything of me left?
At the highest point of Reach, far above the lights of the city, Darta sits alone, swallowed by a churning sea of thoughts.
The sound of the rain intensifies outside, the storm’s echo filling the cave, alongside the earthy scent of rain that adorns the air.
Considering what they might face tomorrow, sharing some hard truths doesn’t feel risky.
“To the Aegis of the Monarch of All!”
